This Months Winner

Julie from Burton on Trent has made these beautiful fairy figurines and embellished them with items from our packs . If you would like to own one or would like to purchase as a Christmas gift (dare I say that so early!) then please contact Julie direct for details - her email address is Fairyfigurines@aol.com. Each one made is a unique sculpture which carries its own certificate, so you will certainly be buying something very special.

Appropriately for the time of year our winner Bridie has created this bag entirely by hand using items from our seascape pack. The bag is made of tafetta with a felt lining and I am really delighted to see the way she has embroidered the mermaid silk print amd made use of the small motifs.

On from dolls to trees this month - Jennifer from London has sent photographs of her tree quilt - a work in progress, I have to say that I might try a quilt with this theme myself, I do love trees and I think they look especially beautiful when in full leaf as seen as you walk the streets of London. A beautiful piece thankyou.

Winner 2006

Christine has sent me photographs of the doll she has made and dressed who at the moment remains nameless - she is 21" tall and when I opened the letter I thought it was a real person, initially so did others who saw the photos. Her arms and legs have been made from various fabrics and Christine has used Pigma pens for the toenails. Your voucher is on its way to you thankyou for letting me use on the website

January 2006

When I received the email with the above pictures attached I was absolutely amazed as they are from Hideko Ishida who lives in Japan. At the moment I have no other details other than she has been doing crazy patchwork for a few years but I thought you would like to see her work as it seems 'crazy' has a common denominator all over the world. I know we call it www. but I didnt realise AC was being viewed in Japan. From left to right is 'The Fan Quilt' - a Tea cosy with an inscription embroidered in the bottom left hand corner saying 'the last rose of summer' and the right hand photo is of her sampler. I hope we will see more work from around the globe this year.

Marion from Cromer has sent us this photograph of her blackwork embroidery . To the hat she has added lilac floral beads & leaves. What an inspirational piece
My granddaughter decided this was her favourite , so thankyou Margaret for sending it to us and your voucher is on its way to you - I am late with the postings and I do apologise for this but I think the angel topped and beaded Christmas Tree card is well worth showing. I love the angels gold wings

Lorna from Bagshot sent us a photo of her crazy patchwork cushion using items from our stock and her own stash - a superb piece of work

Carol from Rugeley submitted this postcard design aptly named Mary Poppins. Carol is certainly a patient lady I think to do all these umbrellas
Margaret from Worthing has sent me this beautiful Thankyou card. The innovative use of complementing card stock with the pearlised trims really gives this card the edge .
